Parmesan French Toast

Wish you could have a good French toast without going back to dairy? Well, at Nafsika's Garden, you can!



Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread (cut in a half)

  • 1 cup non-dairy milk

  • ½ + 3 tbsp cup Nafsika’s Garden Parmesan

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp vegan butter

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 cloves of garlic (minced)

  • Black pepper (to taste)


Method

  1. In a medium bowl combine the milk & apple cider vinegar, let it sit for 10 minute.

  2. Now, add cornstarch, garlic, black pepper, black salt, and vegan parmesan. Whisk until everything is combined & the cornstarch is dissolved.

  3. Heat a large, non-stick pan over medium heat.

  4. Place one slice of bread into the milk mixture, for around 1 minute, flip and allow it to sit for 30 more seconds.

  5. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the pan and place 2 slices of bread into the center of the pan. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Flip the French toast pieces and brown the other side for an additional 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the pan and repeat with the remaining bread.
