Just regular waffles? Come on, we could do better!
Ingredients
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ teaspoon fine sea salt
3 tbsp vegan liquid egg substitute
1½ cups non-dairy milk
1 ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
6 tbsp vegan butter – melted and cooled
1½ cups Nafsika’s Garden cheddar cheese – grated
4 tbsp Nafsika’s Garden parmesan cheese – grated
Method
Mix the non dairy milk with the apple cider vinegar, allow it to sit for 10 minutes
Mix in a bowl all the dry ingredients together, once the milk mixture has become slightly thicker, add it to the dry ingredients, mix well, add the vegan egg substitute and 4 of the tbsp of melted butter. Mix well.
Heat up your waffle iron and brush it with the melted vegan butter, once it’s hot, place ½ of the mixture into each side (or more if you have a bitter waffle iron) and cook for about 5 – 7 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve hot!
