Cheddar Butter Biscuits

Bake these yummy cheesy biscuits for the upcoming holiday gathering.



Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 cup non dairy milk

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1/2 cup unsalted vegan butter – melted

  • 1 1/2 cups Nafsika’s Garden cheddar cheese – grated


Topping

  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter – melted



Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425F

  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the dry ingredients, flour, baking powder, garlic powder, sugar, salt and paprika. Then stir to combine.

  3. Mix the milk with the apple cider vinegar, allow to sit for around 10 minutes

  4. Add the melted butter, the milk to the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir to combine until the mixture is moist, do not over mix. Finally, add in the cheddar cheese.

  5. Drop about 1/4 cup of dough per biscuit onto an oiled baking tray. Brush them with the melted butter

  6. Place the baking tray onto the center rack of your preheated oven and bake at 425F for 10 – 15 minutes or until they are golden.

  7. Serve warm
